SAFC II Question
SAFC II Question
Which would be better, getting a safc II and tuning it using specs found on this board? Or getting my ecu dynoflashed, or could i use both. Im really looking into dynoflashing but i was wondering if i could use both the dynoflash and the safc II together or it either had to be one or the other?
Definitely you can use the both together.. In fact, its a great combination.. But DEFINITELY whatever you do, get it dyno tuned if possible. The settings found on these sites are guidelines and may not work well (or actually be detrimental or possibly damage something) for your car.
What I suggest is a dyno tuned flash, with the S-AFC set to 0 across the board, then let them refine the tune slightly with the S-AFC.. Now you'll have a good baseline for what you have, and can make adjustments with the S-AFC for future modifications (within reason)

Nice, so i should get the safc then go hit up the dyno? Would Pruven Performance do a custom tune like that for me? ( i was gonna go there anyway before i was thinking about getting the SAFC II)
Definitely.. this combo gives you the best of both words, a great upgraded flash, plus a bit of adjustability.. It was the combination I was going to run before my plans changed.
Pruven can certainly do a custom tune with just the S-AFC2.. But if you can afford it, definitely get Al (Dynoflash) to do his magic and then refine it with the SAFC
