Can I see some timing maps?

Out here in California with 91 octane and 100 degree dry weather, conditions are less than ideal, but ideal for knock.

Anyhow, I don't want to make a new thread but is anyone running 91 octane w/ their UTEC?
I am running 91. But that is up here in SLC where it isn't 100 degree heat all the time.

Im getting the utech soon enough. Where is the base map that jack is talking about? Maybe I can give that a try. Or should I start out with the base map from TXS (stage 1+) By the way, where can I get teh UCC software than you guys are talking about? Can someone hook me up with a copy? Thanks guy. This thread is very informative. Give it going....

Here is the link to where you can download the UCC software.

Start with the TXS Map, get a feel for the tools and how that map feels.. I'm going to post some new "Timing" maps (Some suggested timing maps you can work with) once I get my AFR's dialed in a bit..

The one thing about timing maps.. some cars hiccup with them and they need to be tweaked to smooth them for your car.. My timing map I posted is VERY aggressive if your running over 20psi of boost, so keep that in mind.. if you use it, back off on the timing in the map by a degree from 5500 through redline..

Where is the x-over set to right now?60%? Can you lower it right now? I cant remember the days before open loop..lol

For right now it seems like a waste for all you guys to start getting overly involved in tuning these maps.. Once open loop comes out you will need to start from square one, although your timing maps would be good.. I would just load up the base map, make sure it is not knocking and run it till open loop comes out and you can really dive into the joys of tuning

Default Xover setting is 35%.. I left it alone for the time being, and most haven't changed it.. I've run it as low as 25% and as high as 45% to see if it helps the timing hiccups (this was early on) the best way I found was to leave the 10% column at ECU and let the UTEC average the timing at the transition.

FWIW I'm also running open loop fueling (1.4c beta firmware) and am focusing mainly on producing a smooth timing map but a little more aggressive than the beta map provided to me. With my car, the "background map" in the open loop fuel control is a little too lean on my car.
