AVC-R Question

Just had a question regarding the AVC-Rs built in boost gauge. Im thinking about selling my Defi and MBC and moving up to this unit for more control. Is the digital boost gauge sufficient? Does it monitor boost the same way? Im just wondering if it detects the boost level electronically somehow or if your T-ing in a vacumme house to the manifold just like with the boost gauge.

it has it's own boost tap and measures the boost level like a boost gauge.

not true.. I was running both at the same time on a 45 minute canyon run this weekend and they were both in sync. The AVCR reads in mmhg... so its slightly lower then bar.. 1.5bar is like 1.47mmhg (not exact but something like that). This piece is simply awesome.. the adjustability is great and i love the way it maintains boost at part throttle.

the thing thats off is that you need to select the correct sensor. When the correct sensor is selected vacumm will read a little bit off.. but on boost pressure will be accurate. If you use one of the other sensors youll notice it is just the opposite. Thats the only drawback.
