Will u do comparison test between HKS 272s & S1 cams for Evo 8?

Will u do comparison test between HKS 272s & S1 cams for Evo 8?

I know that NILS had that swap. He said the car felt much better and was able to run more boost. I would like to see some data to back this up, hopefully a dyno run between the two cams. The reason I ask, I am currently running HKS 264 cams on my Evo 8 turbo, I will be upgrading to an Evo 9 turbo and want to run larger cams to give me more top end. Is there a big difference between the two cams? Will there be a dyno run?

As soon as I see the solid proof on this as well I'll be switching to GSC.

It wasn't that Nil's was able to run more boost, he just thought that he was running more boost because the car was that much stronger, even though he was still at the same boost levels.

yeah... Greg puts in a base map in the AEM... we go out for a first pull... and holy mid-range crap... I did think we were over-boosting and let off the throttle real quick.. Greg started laughing.. ha ha

If your switching up to 9 turbo... going from HK$ 264's to the GSC S1's will be perfect! Just make sure you get a proper tune.

you'll see gains across the whole powerband, no doubt about it.

Thanks Nils, one other question what about the top end? How did it compare between the 272s & S1 cams?

AMS is going to do that exact test on the EVOm prodject car. HKS 272s to S1s. should be finished this month sometime.

it pulled all the way to redline...pulled harder..obviously its a 'seat of the pants' thing but I've played this game for a while to know the difference

hey guys ill bring my car down if you want to test your s2's against the tomei 280s around mid april because the car is getting some body work and tubo upgrade. pm if interested. Or you just scared to go up against them......haha. nah jus playn, yalls products are awesome and keep up the good work guys. Look forward to more product releases.

Greg said their S1's make more power than the old 272's. I am contemplating yanking the 272's in favor of the s1s, as soon as I see some dyno numbers.
