more great results with GSC's..
another little note..
we did another ix yesterday... had a gsc base map with gsc s1's... 25psi... made 300/297..
retuned, 23psi, made 317/310... consistent, knock free...
awesome results for a car with a HFC....
thanks again greg... everytime we tune a set of your cams... we walk away smiling...
we may need another custom grind for our 2.3 evo...

for one it was just a base flash, Chad dyno tuned it so i am sure he made changes and found power. 25psi is pretty high for pump with out pulling a bunch of timing or having some knock which would lower power numbers.

can't wait to save up some money to swap out my gsc 272's for some gsc s1's for for my car with the 20g-9-5 setup if i remember right greg, you said they'll make 10-15whp more than the older 272's i have? everyone that rides in my car thinks its a freak with the 272's in there. seems like its got a crazy powerband when the turbo spools

Here are my results with the S1's on an 8. I have only been driving the car for a week since it has been tuned, so take this for what it's worth. Cam gears are set @ -1/-2 for decent torque, but ripping fast up top. Car has a split-second delay before boost hits, and then it rockets off. Keep in mind this is @ 21psi on 91. Mods are in sig. Put down 363whp on 100 octane @ 24.5psi across the board.
91 OCTANE
BOOST AND AFR
100 OCTANE
BOOST AND AFR
I still feel like I want more power
I wish there was a high-lift, short duration cam for the 8's that didn't have issues.

We have tried going up on the shorter durration cams. with the stock turbo and head it just wont do much more than what the S1's offer with out sacrificing midrange and low end spool. Now if you didnt mind loosing 1k rpms of spool we could probably pick up 10hp on the top end..

What about offering a cam with a similar duration but higher lift? Obviously you would need springs/retainers.
Just a question as you know about a bizillion more about cams than I do. I just remember (regardless of quality issues) that the 11mm lift, 265 duration Piper Rally cams seemed to have some good results with the Lancer Register guys.

IS it me, or does that one guys graph above hold boost like a f'in animal??? he doesn't even taper one bit at 24.5psi... I don't understand how that could be without an upgraded WG actuator? (Or did I just answer my own question???)

Sorry, my bad, didn't see he had the green! I was scared there that with a similar setup (GSC S1's) on 93 I made 60 less HP than him. I was also only boosting 20.7 psi though.
