What kind of power and racing will the car see? I need to know those details in order to give an accurate response as to what will work best.

Thanks!!

Turbo spec is HTA86, and the car was intended to see more often on drag strip, but since I recently just switched to 2.3 platform, she will regularly road racing, and drag occasionally. Currently, I have the Jack's Transmission that I bought it used from here, at least that what the seller said, but somehow the 5th gear was very weak (as in big RPM drop from 4th to 5th) when I was still on 2.0. Now, the car is about to start with the new spec, and still decide what to do with the transmission.

Many of our builds are upgraded with taller gears. Do you know the specs of the build we performed on that unit at all?

If yours has the OEM gearing, then I would go with the 4.11 final drive as it will increase the ratio for all gears.

Do you know if the trans is an 8 or a 9?

How much for a stage two ultimate ratio for an evo 9 with a 4.11? I'm assuming it will come with an evo 8 3rd and 4th gear? Also I'll need a box shipped to me.

Oops! This thread is old and had info which has been changed. Our Stage 2 and 3 builds are a lot cheaper now. Corrected as of 5-10-13

Here is a break-down of pricing below:
Total for all $2169.98

Please note that the shipping estimates are for the lower 48. If you live anywhere outside of that let me know.

If you have any questions about anything in the estimate, please let me know and I can give details.

Thanks!!

Got another question. I currently am making 600 whp with the stock IX trans and I am looking for an upgrade on the trans soon since I will run out of gear in 4th at the track. I would like to know which transmission service is the best for this setup with a later upgrade to 800 whp once the motor is built? I drive my car everyday to and from work with an occasional 1/4 mile day and runs in Mexico.

I would say our Stage 3 is the best for your goals. It will come with a taller 4th gear and taller final of your choice. It will make a huge difference in the ratios and would be perfect for your goals in 4th. It also comes with our tapered end bearings on the input shaft not found anywhere else. Makes for a very strong and nicely geared trans. More info HERE

Thanks!!
