Question Customize Tsi Kit?

Lancer Superior Turbo Kits Include:
- Garrett T25 Turbo w/ Wastegate
- Cast Exhaust Manifold
- Chrome Heat Shield
- Downpipe w/ Gasket
- SS Braided lines for Water Cooling
- SS Braided lines for Oiling
- Return Hose and Fittings for Oil to Pan
- All Hoses & Clamps
- All Necessary Hardware & Fittings
- Generic Install Instructions

This is what I want to have on my Lancer.
The only thing I don't like about it is the 30% gain in WHP.

Can I swap the turbo for T-28? And then pull 7psi MAX ???
I know RRM kit can pull (non ic) 7psi MAX, but RRM has it's price tag to it.
Don't ask why am I looking at TSI kit, it's just me I like alternatives.

I'm not sure what kind of fuel managment TSI kit has.
Can it survive 7psi???

You could do it with a fuel pump, Bigger injectors etc... you should be able to concvert to an intercooled kit with that setup.

You can swap out a T-28 with the turbo-kits.com non-IC system. If you want to run higher boost levels, grab a larger fuel pump and a Vortech 12:1 FMU to handle the fuel. You don't need bigger injectors until you go over the 7psi level. You really don't even need to move up to a T-28 right away. Talk with the company and see if you can get it, and if not, you don't need to right away. If memory serves me right, the T-25 is capable of 250hp and spools more quickly than the T-28. You can up the boost with the T-25 and still be in the same hp range as the T-28, the T-28 just has more potential, which you won't even be close to at 7psi.

i think the superior kit comes set at 5psi. i know my buddy's extreme kit is set at 7psi. i know they offer an upgrade for the turbo itself if you want. i think they also offer a fuel upgrade the last time i checked. livelyjay is right though. another thing is.... its a good kit for the price. the only problem your going to have are the install instructions. tech support is VERY helpful though. so if you run into any problems you could always contact them.

You can upgrade the turbo but only to T-20 for 1.8L.
5PSI on T-25 makes as much horespower as 5PSI on T-28???

The price of the kit is awesome, last time I saw it for $1850.00 for non-IC.
After I will change the clutch and set up some features my next step will be the turbo.
After turbo custom exhaust, headers, gauges, suspension, etc.

I dont think you can use the rrm header with this kit, as this kit comes with an turbo manifold to use.. its setup for that so you would probably wanna use it.

I get it now, RRM kit doesn't have the intake manifold. Header + turbo +up pipe + downpipe = RRM kit.

^yeah. the rrm kit has the header, turbo, up/down pipes. the tsi kit comes with an actual turbo manifold. it actually looks great. nice and clean. i've always prefered an actual manifold, but thats just me.

5psi = 5psi. The differences are in RPM and tuning.
