Eclipse = great car...in my opinion. Way to heavy nowadays in the 3G form and the price is getting a bit out of hand, but still a great car. Love the V6 torque and decent power. Would be perfect with 20 more horses. Leather/vinyl seats need to go as well as those awful new alloys they have. The '03 front fascia is the best of the new lot. It's a very nice ride if you ask me.

Agreed, the alloys are ugly. I liked the power and handling, got to drive the hell out of it on a curvy road, i was thankful the cops werent around, 70mph in a 40 doesnt go down well.
Anything is better when you drive a Jeep w/ 8" lift.

You can't twin turbo a four cylinder. You can only do it to V6 or inline 6 and up.

twin turbo if i am thinking right is same as just a small and big in suqential (sp?) so i see no reason cant since all it does is get rid of spool up time right?

the money invested and the power output will be very disappointing for a TT 4 banger. Wasted effort

Just as bad as someone thinking about TT'ing an inline 3 from an excel.

Correct. Completely possible. Would require a ton of trick engineering (two different turbo manifolds to feed both turbos and I remember my 'G94, it'd have to feed the small turbo with the 3 and 1 cylinders, than the 4 and 2 cylinders would get the bigger one going, then somehow join the tubes to feed to the throttle body and don't forget the down pipes to the exhaust...and that's just the basic of basics) but it's possible...and really damn expensive. Bahas quote is TO perfect.

Well, pretty plain to see that the guy is either mistaken, or more likley, a walking talking load of bollocks. I shall stop around and talk to him again after work and see if he's had time to revise his statement. If its a single turbo, is it worth it? HP expectancy? Thanks guys

My advice: be wary of a dealer who doesn't know what he's talking about when trying to install componentry that would more than likely flush your warranty down the drain. I say get the Eclipse.

hey if you got the time, get a 04 lancer when they get that 160-170hp 2.4 liter engine and the rest of the hookups the list in motortrend.
