Question Dealer installed Turbo?

I own a Jeep Cherokee, im into lifting not dropping, consequently I know loads about Jeeps and jack squat about ..well much else. I test drove the GTS Eclipse today, and the the rally model of the Lancer.
I thought the Lancer had pretty poor performace,(no offense) but the dealer informed me that they have a Twin tubo kit, dealer installed for around $1800 ?!? He also went on to say it takes the HP up to around 270?!? Hm..any turbo ive ever seen costs around $3500+ not installed. I liked the Eclipse though.
Anyway, my question is; has anyone heard of this option? Sound bogus? Your response would have an effect on what purchase I make.

Thanks! (sorry, i know this was long)

1800 for a twin turbo kit installed? i wouldnt believe that if i were u... 3800 is the price right now for a turbo w/intercooler kit at road///race and im not sure if thats installed or not and it's a single turbo. 1800 for a twin turbo with installation sounds too good to be true.

you can twin turbo the lancer. you can have two sequential turboes. a small one and a big one. things just get complicated when u use more than one...

Sounds like your dealer was just trying to sweettalk you into getting an Eclipse. But then again, if you can get a twin turbo installed for $1800, I know what I'd be driving away in.

Wow, thanks for the quick response. By the sounds of it, you are all as sceptical as I am. Funny thing is, Ghostrider, they were pushing me more towards the Lancer. And "Pushing" is the right word...damn dealers, hate em.
He said that I can find the turbo on "the website",(presumeably the site) but ive seen no mention of it.

phone: 503-292-0111, or 800 888-0056 (oregon) I spoke to Chad (im not sure if he was the one who told me about it though) but if you ask about the Turbo you'll probably get the same guy who told me about it.

What dealership in Oregon, Pagan? I know the owner of the Beaverton Mistu dealership and I can ask him about the turbo and the dealership you went to.
