Has anyone ever tried to see if the exhaust manifold of any d-series or b-series motors matches up with our 4g94s? I'm curious to see if i can get some custome work going.. if anyone has any ideas with this plz let me know...

Well i was thinking if the exhaust holes actually match up i can get a real exhaust manifold and just have the producer of the manifold to not drill any holes onto the flange that connects to the head. I am thinking of changing the set up of my turbo from a gt-28 ball bearing turbo with the 38 mm tial wastegate. I found a place called SSautochrome.. and they sell turbo manifolds for the d-series honda motors.. and that's why i am curious to see if i can make this happen..

are these manifolds tuned length or just really cheap? cuz otherwise you can just grab either a TSI manifold or RPW. what're the benefits of the SSautochrome manifold designs?

took a look at both of them. neither rpw or tsi are tuned-length so i guess they're out of the question. Hobie is the only one with a sexy exhaust manifold.

good luck on this. never heard of anything like this ever working.

I doubt either would fit. Try buying a stock header from one of the cars you mentioned and see if the ports line up. That's if you feel like spending a little dough. Otherwise, just buy the right manifold from RPW or TSI and see what happens.

Thanks, rhyzin. My hood doesn't think it's so sexy (had to cut back a beam on the underside). Does its job well enough for me though.

No. Flanges don't fit right, and spacing should be wrong.

I know the 'tegra GS, not GSR or ITR, has the exact bore and stroke as the G93. I just don't know some internal parts like pistons, crank, or rods are machined close enough to a G93 spec. No one has cracked the possibility amongst the miragers.

I just want a manifold due to the fact that it's a pain to take out the turbo kit and install it.. Also, it has many points where boost/exhaust leaks can occur and its impossible to get to the spot.. And i dont like the idea that the i/c piping will be in contact with the a/c hoses and close to the belt.. I KNOW I KNOW its safe.. its proven.. but i just want a more conventional setup..

I've e-mailed SSautochrome about making a manifold for our cars.. RPW does make a manifold that will fit our car and it will have an external wastegate.. however they are trying to charge me close to 600 dollars for it.. so yeah i'm looking for alternatives.. even thinking about just selling the kit and getting a Talon TSi to play around with.. the potential for our cars is there.. its been proven.. but its a little hard for somoene in college to get there due to other financial situations..

i know what you mean. i'm in college at a private school. I work my butt off to pay for it.. it sucks. i'm always broke, but i'm looking to boost my lancer.. run around in a fairly large city. gotta have boost to stay alive around there..
