New Tune

Today I went to Ripp and got a new, more aggressive tune in the black box. The car is running smoother than it did when it was stock! It also feels like theirs a little more torque in the mid range. They are some great people over there, always willing to help you go faster. On the way home, I was playin with a WRX, he couldn't hang.

well technically speaking every lancer kit has the same programming. the only difference in stages is the size of the pulley, and the boost cooler (if you have a stage 2). that being said i'm sure anyone can get the "new" tune. as far as what it is, ross said they're constantly improving new things, so its probably like an upgrade. it'll make your car run better/smoother.

Basically its a little more agressive. It relies a little less on the O2 sensors and is a little more "set". I am basically a stage 2 now, I have the smaller pulley and a different water injection setup (I told my wife that I needed it and she suprised me with it). The only thing that could possibly stop me from going low-mid 14's are my tires (stock size, cheepies). I believe the new tune will be free for anyone who already has the kit and is willing to go to there shop. BlazenOZ has had this tune for a while and Ross wanted to be sure it was better than the one we had before he started to give it out. Now it will be standard in all kits.

First check your vacumm lines, you may have a leak. Does your belt squeal? If your car is running good, belt's tight and no vac leaks, then its your guage. You should reach 10-11 psi before 5500 rpm.

definately something wrong. stage 2 is rated at 11psi, but i hit 12psi (max) in 4th gear just before redline the other day on the expressway. like fkrzo said check everything.....

idk about the guage.. my boost gauge needle broke and autmeter sent me a brand new one. so i put that in myself since its only connected by a vac hose.. i'll go check my vac hose.. and how r u guys running 10-12 psi. i get 9psi max... i guess i'm using the smaller pully?
