I need some solid information just so that i know what my plans should be. I have been told on here by a couple ppl that the valves on our stock 94 head start to float at about 12psi. However, the head on the 93 is supposed to be indentical to ours (besides a small diff in the camshaft) and ppl have bee able to boost 20+psi in their mirage without upgraded valve springs and without valve float. I want know if it really is an issue or not.

Mike I can only talk for the 4G93 boosted guys, or at least my personal experience. My car has seen as much as 28psi, several runs at 20 psi and been daily driven at 12 psi for the last couple months and I have had no valve issues.

finally got my head off.. man.. cylinder 2 was messed up. the piston had a fat chunk missing.. debris was all over the two exhaust valves, so i gotta get those redone.. however, i did save money doing the work with my dad, and not taking out the motor. Pretty easy actually.. i would've done a write up on it.. but i was too depressed working on my baby, but juiced the same time cuz i get my new toy tomorrow.. good luck with yours..
