TSI Non-IC Kit

After much debate and consideration I decided to go with a NON-IC TSI turbo kit. I expect it in a few days and was wondering if anyone had any tips or even a heads up on the install. Also, this kit comes with no fuel management, is it necessary for me to add on to this, just for peace of mind? I will be getting gauges as well (Boost, EGT, and AFR). Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
(EDIT)
Here is the Kit I ordered https://www.prostreetonline.com/buy/...o_kits/ml2501/ .... I actually had enough for the RRM stage 1, but after much thought decided I'd rather go with the lesser kit and see how much I can get from it by adding to it little by little over the next year and use the money I have now towards other things. As Boe told me once.... Start non-IC and just be happy with the boost, then once that isn't enough anymore Upgrade the set-up.

The only tip you need: Take your time during install and triple check everything before you turn in on.

it may not be for a month or so, but I'll do the install and my own review... I have not seen anyone with this kit, so I am very anxious myself.

i thought these kits were actually for the mirage and that one of the pipes was just a slight bit too short and needed some modification to fit. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

sounds about right. i remember someone saying the DP is a little nudge too short, but the one guy just tripled up on gaskets to make up the difference.

I heard that, and I believ it is true... Aside from ghetto-rigging with extra gaskets, I am a welder and I can pretty easily lengthen the pipe with a cut and a coupler. I also read that the AFR isn't worth it unless you get the wide band. Is that true? Would I be fine with just the EGT and Boost gauges?

If you are fairly competent and know what you are looking for, you can tune your car to a safe level with just a boost and EGT gauge.

yes it is true...the AFR gauge is worthless unless u get a Wideband....i got the PLX M300.....it sends a narrow&wideband signal...so the narrow goes to ECU (keeps check engine light off) and the Wide goes to the guage.....probly one of the best Wideband O2 out ther....
edit: that kit seems light....like its missing a lot of stuff....good price though...good luck with it...seems like a hacker kit. (aka building your own kit) how much boost do u plan on running? cause with out the extra fuel you might be running lean and *boom* thats not good.

How much was the AFR set up, and where'd you get it? the kit is a simple non-ic and is pre-st to 6 PSI. It comes with their piggyback "black box" Map Unit... What other parts should I add to start out staying Non-IC? What I think I need is maybe a BOV and an FMU..... What do you think?

What the Turbo Specialties Superior Kit comes with :
  • 1 Garrett Turbo w/internal wastegate @ 6psi
1 High Nickel Composite Cast Exhaust Manifold
    1 Downpipe
    1 Fuel Pressure Regulator
    1 MAP Unit
1 Oil Return Line and Fitting
    1 Air Filter w/piping
Comes with everything necessary to install! Kit is a complete bolt-on!

you dont need an FMU if you already have a FPR. FPR would be preferable anyways. you also would need piping, a bov, and gauges.

Okay, thanks Mike... The list doesn't show it, but it does inlude the piping... So all I sohould need is gauges and a BOV. Thanks!

well, if those pipes aren't made to accomidate a blow off valve, that is going to be another thing to worry about.
