RRM Non-intercooled 1/4 mile times

I am seriously considering a RRM Non-intercooled kit. Does anybody know what kind of 1/4 mile times people are running with the Non-intercooled kit and also with the intercooled kit. I'm looking for times on stock cars with just the kit installed.

Thanks,

Scotty J

Wow, what are you thinking. yeah its a turbo, but its still non ICed and on a lancer. he's probably right about the 15's. to get any lower you'd have to get some more mods. exhaust, RRM headers, bored TB. the works. but go for it and let us know how it turns out.

I am thinking about buying Vicious' Intercooled kit off of him.

Would the intercooled kit bring me into the 14's?

Yhea, mid to high 15s. Pull up a search, I know some of the turbo guys have posted times.

As for getting times for cars that have no mod other than the turbo, good luck. Most people that save the money for the turbo dish out the rest for other important parts.

my best was a 15.3 with really heavy 17s so got poor traction and had an exhaust leak and my only other mod other than teh nonIC kit was headers.

OT:

Ever dyno your car? Btw, I don't know if 15.3 is a good number for non ic, but I think that's an awesome time, so it was intercooled..talkin about mid 14's?

my best non-ic'd was 13.8... i had every upgrade that was out and even a ported/polished head and slicks(1.8 60'). Was running on the old RRM ecu as well and boosting 9psi. Don't recommend that. Later on my car went boom as i kept it there. Had to find the limits though!

Anyway, intercooled i managed high 14's/low 15's with some toyo proxies. Descent tires for the road but not the best on the track. When i was stage 2 pushing 11-12psi i pulled a best of 12.9 on the same toyo's... usually was at about 13.3-13.6 though.

Seriously it's all about the launch. On my best times i was pulling 1.9-2.0 60's... on my worst runs i tended to pull 2.3-2.4's. The LSD was really helping me out a lot and if your serious about the track you should get that. If your not and going all out for highway i don't think you need it.

The RRM drag car managed a 12.7 on slicks burning them all the way into 3rd gear... car is gutted and had every bolt on possible... was on stock head/rods/crank etc... did have je pistons though.

Good luck and hope this helps.

when my car is running again, it will be intercooled, have turboback exhaust, lighter wheels, stiff motor mounts, no exhaust leak, a ported 4g93 IM, and a bored out fuel rail installed so then yes i am hoping for mid 14s, low 14s would be nice, but i dont know if that will happen.

I might be able to get out to the track this Friday. I have the Stage 1 intercooled kit with header, and axle-back exhaust. Yokohama ES100 tires closing in on bladness. This is also my first time at the track. I'm expecting low 15s.

My fellow Mirager with a similar setup to me, but he is running full management, managed a 12 second run last week. He said all the Honda guys were laughing and telling him he wasted his time when he pulled up at that track, and he was running ***** rich and still pulled a 12.xx and had them with their mouths open.

That is one spectacle I would love to see. Alas, I need to find the money tree.
