Guy at the Mitsu dealership said it was the same and the header would bolt up, maybe they used a diff code for some dumb *** reason or some of the minor crap is a bit off but im telling you its the same engine, ive seen it. The guy could have bee retarded but I didnt talk to him myself my friend asked him while he was there getting the galant a hubcap. U-wrench it has the header for 14 dollars, im going to go get that and try it first just too see whos right cause I really dont know anymore so I'll let u all know it is only 14 bucks to see. Now as for the turbo question, my cousin can weld so would it be more practical to just weld the turbo fitting to my stock header and run the crappy 1g turbo from the talon or is that a waste? I want HP but I dont want my engine popping, i couldnt afford that. Your thoughts?

It's not the same. It's the single came 2.4l cousin of the 4g63. You can be as convinced as you want, and maybe the parts will fit, but I wouldn't bet money on it without modification. I don't know if you're a welder or know someone who is skilled at it, but I don't think you'll have much luck welding a steel flange to a cast iron manifold. You're better off replacing it anyway though, even if you could weld or braze the two together solidly. Your engine popping has next to nothing to do with the exhaust manifold or turbo, and it has everything to do with your fuel system.

OK explain that now, new question. How does the fule system have to do with it, i thought too much boost meant blown engine on stock internals? I'm still new at this so I hope you dont think im being stingy. Jusy trying to figure things out and do custom work for a less expensive and more self satisfying turbo job.
