There are a few 400 whp Mirages that I know of. The cost is not as astronomical as you guys make it out to be, but it is still high. Consider 4K on a turbo kit (a nice one) plus 1K on full EMS, plus another 1.5K on forged internals ..........

I guarantee it costs a minimum ballpark of $USD10,000 to even approach 400whp. And even that is making a lot of assumptions about tuning and integrity.
BTW, why are you trying to sleeve the block Lancestuh?

Save the money and buy something else. I came from a 350 whp GTI 1.8T and I loved the car but man not being able to use 1st or most of second gear gets old. Anything is possible with the funding, but if you have the funding use it towards a better car. EVO 9 would be sweet LOL!!!

So what is our weak link (4G94)??? First the pistons, then rods, then ????
Is it all because of the thickness of the block of 4G93? Could you put a long block in 02-03 Lancer and then go from there?

I was thinking about sleeves becuase my buddy was talking about it! But hopefully I can get some info from airquez about the 89-92 mirage block are they cast iron, or aluminum? Because I can get a full block for $50 and get forged pistons and rods kinda cheap for it.
