Question Best turbo kits

In your opinion what is the best turbo to put in an oz? i have read a lot about the rrm kit and it sounds like the best.. is that true or are there better kits out there? is the non-intercooler kit from rrm still good and what is the hp in a kit like that? thank you for your help!

You should NOT put a turbokit in a OZ lancer, you will highly regret of your actions and after all your financial situation.

Putting a turbo kit is a very, very, very, very bad idea. You will have to spend a few thousands of dollars not only for the turbo kit but also ECU upgradeor falsh, labor and many other parts involved.

After you put a turbokityou might be lucky to run in the high 15's and high 80mphs, it that what you want?

Don't waste your money, jump to a better car, you wouldn't be dissapointed. The OZ lancer is a very bacic and mediocre car in all aspects. The engine of the Lancer is very weak and you wouldn't get much power out of it.

There are soo many cars out there that would give you want you are looking for for a fraction of the cost.

Good luck!!

OK, now that the "I'm so cool cuz I own an Evo" guy is done flaming...

You'd probably be best with RRM if you want turbo. Good customer service, good kit. RIPP supercharger kit might be worth a look too. I wanted one, but I sold out to Subaruland...

The guy that owned the yellow lancer is the guy that I am telling you that had a turbo kit

The reason why I was critizing the idea of the turbo is because this guys that I know spent nearly $10000 on his Lancer and ran 15's. His car was broken most of the time and he ended buying a Evo. If you want I can contact him for you.

Good luck!

There's always someone faster, so do whatever works for you. There are only 3 kits, and if you run a search you'll find the pros and cons of all of them. The three companies that have kits as of now are Road Race Motorsports (RRM), Racing Performance Works (RPW) and Turbo Specialties Inc. (TSI). And please search before you post new threads. We have about 40,000 of these same questions, and the answers are much more readily available if you look for them rather than counting on people to respond. And welcome to the forums.
