RRM T-25 Non-IC Kit

I have a question about the RRM T-25 non-IC kit.. I have it and its waiting in my basement for springtime to arrive. In the install manual it says to use 20/50W weight oil.. and specifically says NON-SYNTHETIC. I was wondering why this is and what you guys run? Why not synthetic? I plan to use what they recommend when I do the install in a few months. If I cannot get an answer here first, then I'll call out to cali and get ahold of someone at RRM so they can clarify. Thanks.

during the first run of turbo kits, some guys ran synthetic and blew their engines from low oil pressure or something. they attributed the cause to the synthetic not working well with the oil pump. later on, it turns out to be a luck of the straw as some people run it and some don't. i'd still run what they recommend to be safe.

yeah rhyzin is right.. I think Rock said it is mainly due to the stock oil pump being pretty weak.

^ yes, run a search on recomended oils or synthetic oils ,in uslg there's a nice thread fll of reading for it,

size of the turbo doesnt have anything to do with the oil pump.

At high rpm and high temp synthetic oil tends to be not so thick and our oil pumps can't push it through. You loose your oil pressure and lubrication, everything gets hot, and then kaboom.
