T-25 v.s. T-28

I was thinking about getting the RRM turbo kit but can't really decide. which turbo has the better spool char. for a daily driven car? I'm mostly going on local streets.... most people say the t-25 has a better response time and the t-28 has a higher level of power if i'm not mistaken. what else are the pros and cons of each?

and RRM is cool. got my greddy. thanks.

t25 is all you would need for a long long time, youd havew to spend alot of money on other things before youd max one out, let alone put a t28 into optimum efficiency range

so, other than DC's opinion (which is good and something I never knew) the t25 is good enough? I wouldn't mind getting the GT28RS in the future if I had enough money later on in time. but starting off with a t25 is good enough for daily driving right? I go down to tracks once in awhile....and get smoked by everything else on there other than the people that are just chilling there.

what are your goals for your car (hp wise)? How much boost do you want to run?

I personally recommend the T25 turbo. It spools faster and you can maximize it potencial more. Your car is not going to be able to handle much boost anyway and that is why I don't suggest the T28.

I owned 11 turbo cars, and half of them I changed the turbos to something bigger, if you choose the wrong turbo you might regret. Forget about the top end on a lancer, there is none nor it will. The t25 are use on the miatas and MP5 (I think), they don't make crazy power but they make the cars fairly quick.

my .2c

I was thinking about the t25 more than the t28 from the begining, all because the regular lancers can only handle so much hp so extreme hp isn't exactly the best idea for a lancer (not an evo). ...but this thread may help others in need of the info as well.

I took a look at Garrett T25 and T28 turbos the other day. The stats for recommended horsepower for T25 are 170-250 hp. More than enough for the daily driven Lancer! T28 250-320 hp. T28 probably better for stage 2 setup. www.turbobygarrett.com

if you want a fully built lancer then the t-28 definately, but you said a daily driven lancer, so the t-25 is all you'd want, I'm sure gas wouldnt be to good on a 300+hp lancer
