i can tell you from personal experience, the auto tranny is just fine. i ran 12 psi for about a day or 2 but we tuned it down to 9-11 ish for the stage 2 kit back in the day.

i was on a stock motor and tranny. all i added was a tranny cooler. i had egt and boost gauge and that was it. All RRM all good.

nope the 227 was on 10 ish psi.

the 12 just got the egt's too high and at the time we didnt want to tune it that aggresively as it was to be a mass produced kit.

if i still had it i would have gone into custom tuning with RRM and i see 12 a do-able but by no means is that an official answer. that is a blow up your engine at your own risk opinion.

a tranny cooler is the same idea as an external oil cooler. You just tap into the lines to the stock cooler then run it to the external one then back to the return line. Easy, cheap insurance.

Thanks Rock you still da man!

IT is not too late! As long as you engine is mostly healthy to start.
