RRM 04 Turbo Kit Install
Hey whats up, just thought i post up some pics and what not of the kit.
Overall installation was easy, even tough it came with no instructions, but one short call to RRM and a few emails later we got them, thats why Road Race gets an A+
on customer service, one of the reasons i decided not to go custom also.
Got the kit on friday afternoon was running it tonight, havent really pushed it , but you can definatly tell its got some ball$ now.
Will be finishing the installation tomorrow with a greddy boost controller and turbo timer, heres some pics and ill try to get a video also.
To me it was worth the $, now just gota save for internals and kick it up a notch
I will be posting time slips once the track opens April 2nd.
Anyways here are the pics:

The air filter seems very low.. is this because of self install or did rrm really make it that low? Just curious becuase i thought it would be better to have it up a lil more in the front bumper?... RRM are the experts and I am not so correct me if theres an advantage to this or if you know the reason that it is so low.
I thought about it also, but the instructions had no pictures and did not mention anything about removing the battery, even after we removed the battery it still did not fit up in the engine, so that seems the right place, nice cool air for the turbo i guess.
We are still taking it prety easy with it for now, will more than likely take it down to florida to get dyno tuned, just want to be safe.

The filter itll be fine i dont plan on lowering the car anytime soon, i doubt water around here gets that high, but i actually wana see if i can tuck it in the bumper cuz i noticed this morning i can see the end of the filter from the side of the car which i dont like.

i will say this... if you bounce off the rev limiter like you did at the end of that video you will surely burn that engine soon. That is not good for any motor. Please be careful and don't do that anymore.
Also from what i've seen the filter should be under the intake pipe. I'd hit up RRM on that to make sure but their shop car is set up that way. Your's should be as well. Give them a call on Monday to be sure. It shouldn't be hanging like that for sure. You should at least put your rock guards on to protect that filter.
