Question Turbo Manifold Question !

I was told that you could use the turbo manifold from a 4g93 and it will bolt right on to the 4g94 motor, is this true? I have a turbo manifold from a galant and it seems as if it might be a little too big but a 1/2" so would that also fit on the 4g94? thanks for the help!

I've read that the G93 should bolt right up. Not too sure about the Galant though; do the runners line up to the exhaust ports at all?

I thought that all galants had 4G63's. If im right it will not bolt right up and the runners will be off by like a 16th of an inch.

You would have to go custom on that. A downpipe from a mirage would not clear your oil pan. I don't think the 4g93 has a turbo manifold but I could be wrong. If it does where are you finding this? And it may be for a small 16g (no clue) but I didn't think mitsubishi made T25 and T28's.

Slowdown Cowboy!!! Are we talking about 4g93 or 4g63 here?

No, not all the turbo manifolds on the 4G63 will work the same. I thought so but the Eclipses 4G63 and the Evo 4G63 has the header mounting point reversed.

The difference is minimal but the thing is that the Eclipse header is oriented to bolt on the turbo on the left and the Evo is oriented to bolt the turbo on the right.

I am just trying to save you some time, I had both in hand, they look the same but they wouldn't work.

The 4G93 manifold will bolt up to the 4G94 head. A 4G93 downpipe will not work since the 4G94 block/oil pan is taller.

What I'm wondering is, where are you finding the manifold?

I believe the DSMs run the T25 turbo - not sure about the mirages though. And over in mirageforums.net, I've got a guy who makes turbo manifolds for the mirages going to make me one for the T28 and for an external wastegate for $350.
