Turbo Set up (All Parts from RRM)

ROAD///RACE TURBO KIT FOR OZ, LS, ES 04-06 $3999
RRM Piggyback Controller Software (CD ROM) $49
ZEITRONIX WIDEBAND $279
ROAD///RACE Light Aluminum Crank Pulley $99
Lancer Magnacore Wires $89

Total $4515

Couple questions also,
1. Does the turbo kit come with injectors or fuel system?
2. Is this everything for tunning so i don't F**K up my car?
3. Do i really need a wideband for tunning or the that software do the same thing?

Yes i am a NOOB, i was planing on superchagering but if they don't make it i'm not
going to brother. So i really don't much about turbos!

The kit brings everything you need to just bolt it on. You gotta buy the wideband seperately. along w/ EGT, Boost, and AF Gauge. The kit also brings a PIGGY.

as for everything else, someone will come along and answer more thoroughly...

The stage 1 turbo doesn't need injectors, it does however come with upgraded fuel pump and fuel management unit. You don't need the crank pulley or magnecore wires, you'd be better off upgrading the intake manifold, exhaust and the TB, if you haven't already. If you're going to tune, you need a wideband unless you want your engine to explode.

Someone should make a sticky about what a wideband really is because everytime a self proclaimed "newb" comes out they refer to a wideband as something used to physically tune the car, like a computer or something to control the fuel curves.

Wideband refers to an oxygen sensor that can more accurately measure the A/F ratio in your exhaust to determine how rich, lean, or stoich you are running. This is called "wideband" because it has a wider range of accuracy than the stock o2 sensors used from the factory. These we call narrow band and they are only accurate to a very small amount, not good for precise tuning.

The best description i ever heard came from the riceboys at honda tech.

Wideband vs narrowband is like taking your temperature with a thermometer.

The Narrowband thermometer would only really tell you 3 things 1) you have a fever, 2) you're fine, 3) you have hypothermia, but whether you are hypothermic with an 86 degree temp or a 90 degree temp it will not tell you, it will just say, you're gonna die

The Wideband thermometer tells you what exact temperature you have from a range of like 86 degrees to 112 degrees to the decimal point

So after this long rant, 02 sensors are used to measure a/f ratio, wideband o2 is precise, narrowband is general. And we use either one as a focus point so we can use the tuning software (piggybacks, safc, etc etc) to actually change those numbers by adding and subtracting fuel at certain points along your RPM curve.

you definatly want to upgrade your exhaust if you havent already, the kit comes with everything you will need to install it and boost away, except a boost gauge you want to get one of those so you know your running a safe boost level, which is 7psi on this kit, if your planning on tuning it yourself definatly get the stuff that the other guys mentioned, wideband, egt, etc...

btw, the piggy back software comes with the kit.....
