Interested in going turbo questions
yea i wanna go turbo, but my car is automatic, can i drop a turbo in anyway, also will THIS KIT WORK? cuz its pretty cheap, thanks for helping
Anything that comes in kit form from ebay that isnt a TSI kit, RPW, or RRM kit is most likely a piece of Sh*t or a scam. The only three kits that anyone has really used on the lancer is the ones mentioned above, with RRM being the most tested and true, RPW being the most pricey with not many people using it, and the TSI, being the middle ground between price and quality. Its a good kit, but needs some work to get it to be reliable like the RRM kit. Or you can do like me and some other people on the board. Go custom and pick and choose what you want. I'd suggest searching the boards and reading every turbo post you can before you even bother to enter the ring here on the forced induction forum. Everyone here is cut throat against questions that have been answered 1000 times. The info is out there, just take some time to read them.....
I 2nd to that. I have an Auto and I just scored a used RRM I/C turbo from someone else on the forums. It's coming off a Manual, but it'll work, with a little re-fabrication of the pipes.
Going the custom route is cheaper, but you sure do have to do your research to scavage all the parts necessary to have a fully functional system.
Good luck!

RPW does cost the most, you can get it for what? Stg 1= $3k, stg2= $3.5k, stg3= $3.8k around there, and thats not even a "complete" kit. Lacks a IC.
They are great kits no doubt, just not enuf people have them.
RRM is easy complete bolt on, full kit $3999.
TSI needs work to run good and fit what like $2800 for IC'd kit?
I think they all would cost about the same in the long run..
If everything goes my way I'll have a RRM kit come Jan/Feb time frame!
The way I figure it is I got dealt this car (not what I really wanted at the time)cars great tho I'm glad I got stuck with it, now just need to make it mine and give it some more love!
