Need HELP!!! Installing Supercharger

Ok heres the story I recently purchased a ripp supercharger from a guy and he had no problems at all installing it and had a great power increase, but of course upon installing it on my car I am now having a little trouble with the wiring. If anyone who has had a successful install and could either send me some pictures or walk me through it I would be very greatful. Ive tried searching here and all over the internet to find a wiring diagram for the ecu so I dont end up destroying anything but have found nothing. Please Help me out here If you can!

Why don't you contact the manufacturer (Ripps Mods) about that. Or have you tried that already with no luck?

Since I was installing it this weekend and of course they are closed during the weekend I was unable to contact them yet but plan on doing it today. Also I have read about the poor customer service they have and was hoping to skip the wild goose chase if anyone could offer me some tips.

Even still I think the best bet is to call them. If you don't have the full instructions that they send out with the kit, they can at least give you those. The other thing is that once you get their attention, they are actually quite helpful. So once you get someone at tech support they will probably be able to solve the issue. The problems I've had are related to their general disorganization, but once you get through that they should help you.

I could walk you through the wiring as it is in my car, but I'm out of the country for another month. I had RIPP install mine, but looking at the wiring it doesn't seem too much more difficult than the RRM piggyback, which is cake once you identify the wires. The meth/water injection setup requires you to run a vac line but otherwise it's just wiring.

Ok Heres the updated info thus far. As of tuesday last week we got the car up and running with a smooth idle and no engine light. After testing it out for a few days still no problem other than a CEL which was cylinder misfire. Otherwise the car ran and performed fine. Until friday when suddenly the car lost power and began smoking. I was able to make it home only to find out after checking various things that my spark plugs which were ngk 6E-11 as was instructed to use were melted. From there I checked the compression to find out that 1 2 and 4 are all reading between 155 and 160 psi. But 3 had no compression at all. Now Ive been told that that could be result of a few different things, burnt valve, burnt piston or bad piston ring.

Has anyone else had a similar problem? What could be the cause of such a thing to happen?

Now I have to pull the head to find out what the damage is, but once I do I dont want to end up doing this again so If anyone has any suggestions as to how to prevent this from happening again please share!

Sounds to me like a piston ring!! If you melted the spark plug u did some good damage inside the cylinder. The extra heat it usually from the lag of fuel ( running lean). What kind of fuel upgrades are done to ur car???

well Ive installed everything that came with the kit, fuel pump, injectors and a fuel pressure regulator. Also when I called ripp they said to back it down from the 45 to 52 psi on the fpr to 40psi. could that have been the problem? it ran fine but if you say I may have been running lean maybe doing that had a negative effect on my car and if so they will be hearing a few words from me.

yes I installed the ripp black box and map sensor. It was confusing at first but after getting my hands on a wiring diagram for the ecu it was a piece of cake.

Ive tried to post this on the wanted section but I guess I havent been around long enough or something for Im restricted from posting there so spread the word anyone if you can or please let me know something.

Ok just to give an update to my current situation, I have now swaped out my engine with another from a 2005 that has less than 4k on it. Now that its all installed and running I have yet another problem. Although it starts and idles perfectly when i press on the gas it first hesitates but after a second or so it revs up nicely. Also when I do this it seems as if its about to stall also. So my question is what could I have overlooked that could have cause this problem?

On another thought I did notice when I installed the engine a difference in the two the 02 engine had a fuel rail with a return but the 05 didnt, so I swaped the two, although having alittle trouble lining up the injectors. So Im not sure if this could have caused a problem or not, I thought Id mention it anyway.

Not sure how a retro fitted 02 fuel line would work with a O5 engine so I'll let someone else address that. But be sure to check your vaccum hoses and your throttle cable... could be something simple like adjust the tension on the throttle or turning the idle screw.
