i belive it can be pulled around 12 psi with some fuel and timing!!!
but you better off 9-10psi on stock

I would NOT suggest running 10 psi on a stock 4G94. Maybe I'm wrong though.

i would have to say 6...on stock...fuel really won't help much if at all...unless it was racing gas....but that really wouldn't sit to well w/ stock internals either...so i'm gonna leave it at 6psi...

Guys, its all about the tune, Us miragers are doing 14+ psi on stock internals for race days, and 12 daily. Why turbo for only 6psi? its not really worth it.

right now im just using a turbo xs mbc,but im thinking about going to a electronic boost controller it would just be nice to just turn the boost up for a run or two and then turn it back down to normal. Instead of having to pull over and ajust every time.

i would say change the headgasket to lower the compression then your safer to run around 12 to 14 psi

Guys cmon, its been proven by both RRM and users 6-7psi on FMU, 8 to 10 with upgraded injectors and a rock solid tune. up to 11-12 if you want to get risky but thats close to the threshold. Its all about the tune, the temps, and the abuse. Prolonged runs at high boost with no recovery time is a quick way to kill the motor, not enough fuel is a quick way, etc etc. I'm runnin 7psi intercooled with a 12:1 fmu for just about 6 months now, no problems with the exception of just used parts problems. the RRM stage 2 kit bumps the boost up to i think 8 or 9 psi with upgraded 370cc injectors and a full tune. No problems on any cars so far that were taken care of.

yeah. 6-7 is really the starting psi.. as far as ive heard. even on a t28. Then you can go up around 10 like was said... injectors, fuel and a tune.

Similar motors, but not the same motor.

At this point, I'm just convinced that the Lancer 4G94 received ***** little weak pistons.

OH yeah, and your clutch will burn out way before your stock internals will. I'm plagued with a slipping clutch right now, not fun. Just another bite out of my bank account comes the end of the winter

Don't launch it so much I'm all about on-ramps! The only Lancer I know of that blew a hole in the engine (snapped some rods) was the RRM Drag Lancer because they got greedy and bumped up their boost to 15 PSI without tuning for it. Otherwise, I will have to say that 11 - 12 PSI is doable and safe if tuned right. Watch the temps, watch the knock. If those are both good, there is no reason to worry.
