not if u want more boost. a manual or electronic one would work. if u want to save money get a manual work just as good as an electric one

Woah, did you say almost up to 1.0, LIKE 1.0 BAR?!?! If this is the case you should stop boosting immediately until you get that boost adjusted down. The way i understand it you need to not run more than like 6 psi or so on the standard non intercooled kit with stock internals and compression. that cackling sound that you hear at high rpm is probably your pistons commiting suicide from too much boost. Get hold of rrm and make sure your engine will last another 5 minutes

oh btw 1.0 bar is like 14.7 psi

Yeah but the turbo shouldve come with the manual boost controller. Unless he or someone boosted the car up too much.

CAll them. Don't boost too much. Be safe and sure it is installed right.

For those saying you need a boost controller...this is absolutely not true. Running off wastegate pressure is every bit as good as using a boost controller. It's more difficult to adjust, but if you're running 7psi constantly (or whatever) it's the same 7psi whether it's going through a Profec e-01 or just the spring in your wastegate. The only real benefit to a boost controller in my eyes would be if you're frequently changing the boost level at which you're running.
