pardon. didn't think you'd meant crank. folks don't usually measure that way unless you're stock...

It takes about 10 psi for 2g DSM to get about 200 crank HP. Maybe, if you slap a T25 on a Supra and make the turbo overwork itself. Otherwise, 7 psi is too low for the T25 to make that much power.

This is a good Aussie site matching cars to proper turbo.

awesome this is really helpful. I would be satisfied making 180-200 whp to begin with. this is my only car so I definitely would want to be upgrading internals soon after and either swapping turbos or cranking the boost up. i think if i change the conpression I can make more HP at the same boost settings

I've just got one more question. If I am going to have the car tuned by a pro, what will I need as far as hardware is concerned? I would prefer to have an emanage, what else will the tuner need?

cool thanks so.... turbo kit, emanage, a tuner, lots of funds = reliable install and tune

hmm so theoretically I have no use for a wideband, egt, etc if i am not to tune myself right?

I'd still opt for one, if not, atleast a NB. Just good insurance in forseeing possible problems.

High CR = better TQ numbers, tends to be better MPG, but harder garnering big PSI numbers. Harder to tune.

Lower CR = easier to reach higher HP w/ bigger PSI numbers. Easier to tune.
