yeah little expensive for FMU,
Yeah, i am not giong to use that 38mm external wastgate opening, That's for later if i decide to upgrade to T3 turbo. like later later later. or i might just upgrade to Authenic GT28RS turbo, it is like $1200.
I still have couple more stuff on the way!!
I still need FMU and littler longer OIL line.
I might buy FMU tonight

Seeing as how this is Ebay knock-off (generic) turbo, if not done so already take the turbo apart and make sure everything is kosher. Toctite the bolts as well... Where are the upgraded injectors?
Good luck!
Good luck!
okay i have to say it....that turbo is garbage and will not last. i thought you wanted to use quality parts?
i'm assuming your going to fabricate your own downpipe seeing you have a flange for it. i'd suggest to get some kind of fuel management cause just bumping up fuel pressure only isn't the best thing to do.
i used to be like you and tried to do things the "cheaper" way but i realized that you just wind up paying more money in the long run.
i'm not promoting RRM's kit or anything but their kit costs $4k for a reason. to be honest thats a perfect price for a turbo kit. its proven, reliable, quality, and they stand behind it, and dammit it looks goood.
sure you can probably get away with making a kit for 2k. i can tell you it won't look too good and i'm not too sure how well it will perform. but if you know exactly what you are doing and your good at it, and you can weld meaning make like your own manifold and ic pipes (which are a big cost btw for quality stuff if you buy them already made)
i kno all of this because i made a turbo kit for my lancer when this car first came out. it cost me a total of about 4k. everything was quality parts, garrett gt28 ball bearing turbo, stainless IC pipes, blah blah blah which is why the price was higher.
so my tip to you is save up some more money and do it the right way. get a GOOD garrett turbo, get some good fuel managment, that manifold looks o-k but i'd suggest to make a support for it to take some weight off it to prevent cracking.
good luck. happy boosting.

cool thx for da advice
yeah except for for turbo other parts are top line company's!!
planning to save money and get authentic GT28 turbo in summer or next summer,,
as for the fuel management, i have open ecu cable, and planning to goto shop to tune my stock ecu or getting Greddy Emanagement ultimate. goal is just make car run with turbo first. i have AEM Wideband coming to watch out for lean condition.
also I used to have RRM's Non-Intercooled turbo kit!! very nice kit, used to keep up with lightly modded S2000 with 7 PSI non intercooled. but i really wanted to use Turbo manifold (at the time they didn't come out with Manifold) and after i started to piercing the kit they finally came out with the Manifold!(I have been gathering parts for little more than a year now; hahaha
)
I think my kit will look pretty decent, I am not a professional auto tuner or auto mechanic,, nor trying to make my car as fast as RRM's. i just enjoy working on my car with my on hand..
