RRM IC vs. non IC kit

Does the IC kit make more power than the non IC kit? Im sure it does, but does anyone have numbers?

Im going to probably order this kit within the next week

Anyone in Canada know how much their duties and custome fees were?!

I suggest before you throw a turbo on your car you read up. Not trying to be a jerk but you're talking about significantly altering your car. The short answer to your question however is yes, the IC kit makes more power. The IC cools the air. Cooler air means you can increase the presure.

You are talking about 30+ more whp with an IC and increasing the pressure.

Whenever I took a look at the RRM kit I had some serious sticker shock. After lurking here for a while I figured out that it is by far cheaper to piece together your own turbo kit.

Just offering an alternative, because with the money you save you can put it towards forged internals and eventually some nitrous. (If that's your cup of tea.)

i have searched a lot about this and the RRM kit. Since it was a new car, i didnt want to just trubo it and say goodbye to my warranty, but i figured im buying another car soon, so this will be my "toy".

But i was looking on the RRM site, and both kits say 200hp...except the IC kit says 200WHP i believe...so i just wanted to see if it was really worth spending the extra 1000$ or just do a custom IC upgrade in the future. When i do this, im buying the stage 2 clutch and if i have enough to spare, ill get the lightweight flywheel at the same time so i dont have to do the work twice down the road..

I would recommend upgrading the clutch first since the stocker will blow out if you drive the car hard (as you will with a turbo). Yes the IC kit makes more power since it can run more boost safely due to the cooler charge (less risk of knock). I would suggest reading up on how turbo works and more specifically, how the RRM kit works if you're asking such a basic turbo question.
