ICS relay pinout for Evo8?

Hey guys, trying to mod my alky kit setup to activate via the ICS relay output (using engine load as my trigger point). Is anyone using this setup now on an evo8 and know which pinout # it is? I have one that I tracked down which outputs a ground signal with the MANUAL ics button but I'm having trouble getting it to output in the AUTO setting. Maybe share your ECUFlash settings for the ICS relay? Thanks guys.

I believe I'm using 35 now, maybe I will test pin 55 from that list.

These are the settings I modded in ECUFlash (renamed basically). Maybe I'm setting something wrong.

I got most of my info from here:

Hi Jamie,
I will definitively look around pin 55, pin 35 looks like water level...
Have you all the ICS system on your car? Why don't look from the physical output (controled switch on relay or water pump?)
Just insert an opto and you should be done...
Just a question: is your rom patch bypassing vehicle speed and all the step of the scheme to get only the load as trigger?
Cheers

Oh yeah, forgot to point that out. Yes, I am basically bypassing everything but the load trigger right now. I hooked up pin 35 to the alky kit and I can trigger it via the manual ICS button but I can't get the ECU to trigger it automatically in AUTO mode.

So I tested the 4 pinouts that are listed on RRE's Evo 8 pinout diagram.

Pin 35: ICS light in dash
Pin 44: 'Auto' Switch Input
Pin 57: ICS Relay output (works with manual switch....maybe auto output too?)
Pin 91: 'Manual' switch input

Maybe I'm doing something wrong in my ECUFlash settings.

Can anyone edit their ICS relay settings in ECUFlash and actually get the Auto ICS to trigger while at idle and just revving the motor?????? This would help me out SOOOOOO much right now!! Thanks guys.

P.S. pinout 55 in your diagram is wrong. It does nothing with the ICS, its actually part of the EVAP system.

Did you try it with minimum engine load set to zero?

I tried 30, thats below the idle load of my engine with cams. Still nothing. I know at one point LONNNNG ago, I had mine set to activate at idle with the blip of my throttle but that was when Ai first got into ecuflash and was messing with settings. I really need someone to find a bunch of settings for everything that allows them to trigger it at idle. I'm frustrated.

OK. I'll give it a try tomorrow. I do have the spray working from the settings on the PDF you referred to but I've never tried it at idle.

How is your alky kit going to work? Will it be a progressive pump system working off engine load from the ECU?

Its the standard Aquamist HFS-5 kit, just changing the trigger point from IPW to engine load...eventually,lol.

Gonna go try something Tephra mentioned earlier but it didn't sink in fully. Since I use his patch which has the "spray on knock" feature and it has a "Spray on Knock Load threshold", if I set the knock limit to 0, I'm basically making the ICS relay trigger just by crossing the load threshold.

He had suggested this a while back but my thinking was if I set the knock level to 0, it'd just stay on all the time. I forgot there was a load threshold integrated into that feature. I'll let you guys know if it works for me in a few minutes.

Damn. There is a "spray on Knock time" setting attached to this feature which ruins this! If it only stayed on when the load was above this level, and shut off when it was below...I'd be all set. It does in fact work.

got it! Tephra is the man. Ok, so the timer for the 'spray on knock' is only engaged once the load drops below the 'load threshold'. I set the timer to 50ms so it shuts off almost instantly. This is awesome! I'm gonna have my alky kit activate at around 160 load but in reality it may take longer to engage since the rapid ramp-up speeds of the engine accelerating and the pump delay may be closer to 170-180 load. Good stuff indeed!

Oh yeah, the ICS relay output is definitely pin 57 on the Evo 8's BTW.
