ROAD/RACE- Turbo my 08's NUTS
CVT is strong!
"Advanced technology has made the CVT much more robust. Nissan has more than a million CVTs in service around the world and uses them in powerful cars such as the 255 horsepower Maxima, and says their long-term reliability is comparable to conventional transmissions"

So i think we can assume that
's CVT is as strong...
edit : AT LEAST as strong!

The question i'm asking is. At 152 hp, the difference between a stick and a CVT going at a constant 6000rpm is not that big. But with the turbo kit, are we manual guys gonna get destroyed by CVT's always at big power ? Freighten me a bit ;P
It's hard to say. It really depends on how much boost you want to run. With a small to moderate amount of boost, you shouldn't have to do anything at all to the engine. It's when you go from moderate to high that you need to consider pistons, rods, etc.

If you buy the RRM kit, I'd bet money that you can be fine 100% stock. As NJ said, if you want to raise the boost, you'd want to look into mods (intake, exhaust, internals, etc).
let's all hope the CVT is strong for everyone's sake

And the VQ35 ain't the least powerful engine i know. About 270 HP and 250 LBS of torque to the crank I believe.
