Exactly, it's like all the lame *** "kill" stories on here where people with an intake and a fart muffler claim to beat mustang GTs and such. If all you have to do is pass a car to win I was destroyed by a Yaris this morning on my way to work.

You both are just negative people. Is it so hard to be like "thats cool that you beat an evo" or "keep up the good work". We are here to inform others about what we like and what have have done to our cars. We should not be here to insult a person's car or what they have beat in their car.

yeah and im not trying to talk smack, but rrm employee, rrm turbo, stories of killing evo's = more uninformed lancer newbies trying anything and everything to get that turbo. U feel me?

don't get in over your head. A EVO, WRX, and STI WILL CRUSH YOUR SOUL. With all the money you dump into our lancer, you easily could of bought a honda crx, gutted the interior, built up the motor and crush most cars out there, but your not really trying to go fast are you?

your stuck with the lancer, you justify the reasons to turbo charge it, it's all you could finance or else you know you probably would of bought an evo, sti, or wrx in the first place.

To all the guys who love the lancer and just want to be diffrent. More power to you, but let's be honest here.

i'm done talking crap, I think I need a nap

now lets get down and dirty

highly modified lancer vs highly modified evo

don't talk about being an evo beater when you've raced your daddy who probably wanted to make you feel better about all the money you spent on his products.

I guarentee you that any highly modified evo, m3, or sti will crush you, plus they look better hahaha

actually the evo that i raced was rob's car, it is pretty modded

tuned
cams................

probably 330+awhp

also a friends scubby, modded as well, dynoed 300awhp 330awtq.

so it is possible to keep up and beat on modded high performance cars.

Lol that must be it, it's not that we don't want people to get their hopes up and be disappointed, it's that we're just negative people.

Have you tried racing any other modified evos that aren't driven by the owner of the shop who built your car?

I don't think were being negative, were being honest. I mean take a guy like amby who spent so much cash on his lancer and ended up with not so good results man. He's not negative, he's a realist, he's being honest, he's passing on advice to all other people who try and go his route. There is nothing negative about it.

No wonder he's driving a WRX now, I also guarentee he's very pleased with stock results on his WRX and his potential on the rex.

Don't talk about being negative manny fresh, if you love to mod your lancer then more power to you, but don't come on here acting you like destroyed stock or even modified evo's on a track somewhere.

Ask or even go on to other boards, most adult evo or sti owners don't even try to race out in the streets, take your modified lancer to a track and get your s#$t handed to you. It's not negative it's the truth.

yes sir i have

a modded evo 9

intake
exhaust
reflash
manifold.......... 300+ whp

random guy on the street

and an evo 8 similar mods.

random guy on the street

both owners were extremely suprise and wanted to talk to me about the car.

u may say what u want about trying to sell kits or whatever, but these are the facts and if they want to buy a kit that is there choice and if they want to build there own kit that is there choice, we are more then happy to talk to people who are building there own kits, we just want people to know that a lancer can be fun and fast with turbo, no matter whos turbo.

Are you kidding me, I love my WRX, stock I can eat any lancer in town, with 2000$ I can be over 300 hp and 300 tq. It was the best decision I made, but it's not for everyone.

That's good to hear, but were those from a roll or a stop and, more importantly, do you really think those are realistic goals for the average lancer owner?

hahaha...you must not know brian and rob. no way in HELL would rob LET brian beat him in anything

i've been in brians car when he went at it with half the cars he's listing...you can believe it or not, but i saw him walk every car he's mentioned and the other drivers have been more than aware they were racing. i stand to gain NOTHING from saying that brians car is fast.

its all about power to weight ratio(look it up). we have a mirage in the club that's a turbo 1.5 auto that can keep up with brian and it's a full on ghetto set up . it comes down to the fact that the car is so much lighter that it doesn't need 300+whp to beat something.

to the original poster...turbo your lancer..you will love it!

yeah i have a scubby also, 2.5turbo, flashed, full exhaust, intake.............. i would rather drive the lancer, the handling is better and the car is way punchier, the scubby's lack connection.

I am not trying to anger anyone, lets just all be positive and helpful, in a non crushing of the soul way, for example would you like someone in a lambo and laugh at you and tell you that you can put as much money in your little car but you will never be as good or as fast as me?

You must be young because that doesn't apply here, no one is crushing souls and no one is being overly harsh, they're just stating the facts as they see it.
