fuel pump install question

I tried to install the walbro pump that came with the 16g kit and i had a hell of a time trying to put in it. The plastic bottom piece was not fitting on!! I got 4 of the 5 clips on because one broke. Does that really matter? The pump is not gona fall, its on there tight.

Anyone else have that problem?

good to know!

Also there was a white clip thing that didnt fit on the new pump....it was in the part that attaches into the uppder plastic casing of the assembly. I left it off and kept it on the stock one. Its like a white plastic washer that has 4 slits on one side of it.

You will have a hard time getting all of them to clip. I used a drimal tool and made the holes in the cap a little bit longer so it fit good. Its a very loud pump. Sounds like a leaf blower outside. lol
