if you wanna waste money go get a bc. but you dont need it, its prolly your WG spring. your spiking because it may be binding up and not wanting to open untill you see a higher psi.

I agree with the wastegate problem. Get it checked out first. If the problem continues, then spend money on a bc.

okay good advice guys, im going to check the spring later today, but if i remember right, when i took it apart a month or so ago, it was a red spring im sure, and on the tial website it said on 38 mm wastegate the red is a 7 pound spring i think , is there anything specific i should look for inside the wastegate, because its just the spring popped in , and theres 4 tiny little screws on the bottom that seem to do nothing. but then again im no expert, but ill give it a look thank you, and the wierd thing is , the wastegate is nearly brand new

large red = 11.6psi
small green = 7.2psi

Yeah, even new stuff can break though...do you have a warranty through the company you got it from?

Or maybe you just have the 11.6 psi spring.

Yeah, I read there is a "large" red spring too! Could have been a mix up...?

okay, the "O.D" on the right side of the chart is the diameter of the spring im assuming so its small is 1.8 somthing inches and the large is 2.3 something inches, right? forgive me..... but the spring in my wastegate is definantly not 2.3 inches in diameter, so it must be small spring? stupid question i know, but i might be mixed up... and if it was 11. somthing psi spring, how is it opening at like 5 to 7 half the time? lol hmmm and i was reading something on if the hole is ported bigger, but only 10psi on a 38mm wastegate doesnt make sense
