Intercooler dimensions

I have a Lancer Sportback 04, I'm wondering what the max dimensions I can use without removing the crash beam for an intercooler. I want something to fill in the Evo IX front I have.

On another note, has anyone tried the stock evo intercoolers?

Turbo'd sportback eh? That's a new one in my book! Definite sleeper there! Yeah, several people have used an Evo core...heck I even have one in my garage for the Civic turbo project. Not sure about keeping the crash beam though with the Evo core. You'll probably need something longer and narrower.
