I remember waaaaaay back in the day when Road Race and Rhys Millen were setting up to duke it out with turbo kits. RMR did even produce one buuuuut nothing came of it. Maybe a good thing since both turbo setups were together at an SCLC meet and the Rhys unit managed to lose an oil line. Whoops.

Yeah, losing an oil line SUCKS. I had to have my fittings replaced once and then my oil feed line rerun once. It helps to run the lines really close to the block for anyone looking to do this. Anywho, they can be a bit tricky.

Shame too cuz their turbo setup on the show Lancer looked really nice.

boo the title of your post for implying that would make a turbo! Wouldn't buy one from them anyways, prolly cost as much as our cars.

I think the real problem is warrantying something like that. Warranties are overrated anyway imo. If you plan on tuning, **** the warranty. If a part breaks, replace it with a better one.

what would be really nice though, is if mitsu offered the twin scroll unit for the 4G94.

Electric turbos are nothing more than fans used for ventiltion on PVC piping and such. The majority of them have plastic blades. When your car revs up, you can draw about 15 inches of Mercury in vacuum (or there about, depending on your compression ratio). Say the fan is rated at 250 CFM, then you have your motor sucking so hard that you pull in 500 CFM under full acceleration. Those blades will be spinning at twice the rate that they are designed to. Now, they will fail and those plastic blades will get sucked in to your throttle body and through your intake runners and probably get stopped somewhere about your intake valves. When the valve can't shut because of the blade that is wedged in there, you will have a piston head clearance issue, as your piston head for that intake valve comes to TDC and strikes the valve. This will probably shove the valve up with enough force that it strikes against the camshaft and that will make other valves all do the same. Your piston head will also be toast. All of your intake valves will probably end up getting bent then and your engine will lock up.

Or........It could make it all the way past the intake valve and actually get in to the compustion chamber. Once there, it will get tossed like a salad....Up and down and all around inside your combustion chamber where it will definitely melt nd get plastic **** all over your piston nd cylinder wall. Oh, that's if it doesn't cause a clearance issue with the piston and the valves first. Even if it does through some miracle not cause a clearance while bouncing around your combustion chamber, it will destroy your engine.

Now, you could buy an electric turbo for $59.99 and get an amazing 5 HP gain and be able to tell all your friends that you turbocharged your car.......but your motor is likely to go if you do.....Then you can replace your engine a few weeks down the road and tell them you did a motor swap and be "mad tyte, yo, fo real."

Personally, I would never buy an electric turbo for a car. They are not designed for cars. But that is just my opinion.
