Eclipse Turbo Fits Lancer?

i have little knowledge of cars as far as engines go, but why not just find an old turbo from a second generation eclipse GST and throw it on the lancer. It was either RRM or RMR that used it for their TURBO LANCER, so, if a mechanic knew what he was doing, would it work?

It's not the turbo itself that's the problem. It's the piping that's the problem. You can fit any turbo on any car granted you can fit the necessary piping and hardware inside the bay.

so if you had headers that would fit and give room for the turbo then it would work? and would the engine specs be the same

A turbo 90% of the time doesn't utilize a header like you know it. It uses a special type called, obvisouly, a turbo manifold. It allows the exhaust gasses to feed into the turbo, and not just escape out to the exhaust pipe. What do you mean by keeping the engine specs the same? To run a turbo, you'd need more fuel, more air, and the ability to allow more exhaust gasses to get out (3 in" exhaust).

what you want to put a little T25 turbo in your Lancer Cedia ?
why that turbo it is the smallest turbos out there. that thing can only give out about 300hp Max with a boots controller. try going with a small 16G, 16G, big 16G or a 14B turbo. if you want to go nuts go with a 20G turbo, if your engine can take it.

The very first thing for putting together a custom turbo kit for an NA is the turbo exhaust manifold. Everything else, even the turbo charger itself comes second during this project. Then concern about the piping, fuel supply, piggy back and boost control, etc....

The size of the turbo is really depends on what hp goal you're trying to reach. If you're shooting for a daily driven 200ish amount...a relatively "small" turbo should do fine.

Question Turbo MAnifold

Well is there a Turbo manifold availiable for the 02 lancer, or can you snag that of the eclipse as well. And after the manifold you have to get at least 3" piping all the way back? DO i need to custom order that or can that be found for our lancer?

No turbo manifold for the Lancer. I asked RRM about it, I am on their list to install a turbo. Their turbo Lancer used a custom up pipe sort of manifold. It is trick. They told me they will use a T-28 on my car. As for bigger turbos I asked. There is not enough space for a bigger one without melting all the **** around it. IT is a little more complicated than I thought. I trust their recommendations. They have more experience than most. RRM can tell you more than me
