How can a turbo sound stock? You are aware that the 16G came stock on a variety of cars right?

The two should sound more or less the same. Moreover you don't pick a turbo based on how it sounds, you pick it based on whether it suits your needs.

Keep in mind that turbos more or less sound the same, you just hear the flow of exhaust fumes. Since you won't be running a lot of boost, the wastegate will be the dominant sound.

yeah mines internal wastegate. You hear the turbo spool, but other than that it just goes. People can't believe it. And yes honestly it sounds like a stock turbo car with exhaust.

internal is of course part of the housing and doesn't need a special type of manifold. External is used when internal is not there and needs a manifold made than can support a external wastegate and a runner going to the wastegate.

I'm sorry but considering the questions asked here, I wouldn't suggest touching your car. If you don't know what you're doing, it's very risky to start modifying things. If you're buying a turbo based on sound, you have a hell of a lot of research to do.

I'm guessing the next question will be what's the difference between a BOV and a wastegate. Everyone starts somewhere.
