Junkyard boost

I have some question and maybe some of youhave the answers...

1. Is a T3 turbo already wastegated???
2. Do you think i can find a BOV on a old eclipse or volvo???
3. Do you think an old mitsu turbo manifold could be made to fit a 4g94 and if so form what car???
4. Any suggestions for a larger fuel pump???
5. Any suggestions on what to pull an old intercooler from???

Reason i ask is a large scrap yard has some parts and i have 5-6 hours to go in and pull it myself for $45. So i want to know what to look for before so i do not waste time.

Some T3's are internally wastgated, if it is there is gonna be a flapper on the smaller second hole on the exhaust side and a brass colored actuator hanging off the side and the flange will be different.
Personally since I have seen a T3 in my car I dont know that there is enough room for that actuator. Besides internal wastegates supposedly suck cuz they leak by. You can still use an external just tear off all the mumbo jumbo for the internal and get a flange that blocks that other hole on the exhaust side.

1g Eclipse BOV's are all over ebay for $60ish and sometimes includes the upper intercooler pipe that it was attached too, I have one in my closet in case I get tired of the VTA one I'm using.

Manifolds-You are going to end up modifying what ever you find so your best bet is to DIY find a 3/8" steel plate and trace your manifold gasket, turbo flange, WG flange and have someone cut it all out. Making a basic manifold isn't that a big deal. (see the turbo in progress thread) Im re-doing the one pictured in my thread to make it a little more flow friendly. All you need is 14 guage steel header doughnuts to cut up and make the bends. This guy is local to me so I can drive to him but he has everything.
http://www.headersbyed.com/ they will not make you anything just sell you the parts.

Fuel pump well look for a TC eclipse because their pump basically drops right in. I did it in like 20 mins with Rhyzins install guide. Anything else and you are gonna end up modifying.

Im willing to bet if that junkyard had an intercooler that was worth a damn its already pulled. I have no suggestion for that.

Good luck

just make sure that the intercooler is a front mount. i tried a side mount from a 99 eclipse and it wont work. but search around, someone has got to have an old intercooler somewhere.

Intercooler is not necessary. Avoid it for the basic setup and buy a good one when you have the money to spare. Or you can buy mine off me. Definitely better than JY quality.

Fuel regulation! My number one problem, as soon as I figure it out I'll tell the rest of you.

Fuel fuel fuel fuel fuel. The piping is the easy part. The mechanics of a turbo setup are simple. Tuning it to run properly is where it gets difficult.
