turbo help.....wtf!!

So I got my turbo put in, all lines connected and such..fired it up. All sound good till my overflow tamk started shooting out coolant. We killed it, cleaned the mess and noticed that the overflow tank was filled with some type of tannish sludgelike crap. So we emptied the overflow tank, and I started it again. My friend observed the overflow tank slowly filling. It ran idle for about 1min then it started to fill a lil faster, so I killed it. The overflow tank was filled with the tannish goop. I don't know if it was oil or not. It wasn't as thick and it didn't have a smell. I've asked a few other friends and I got maybe a blown head gasket or blown turbo. The car was runnin fine before I put it on and the turbo wasn't blown when I bought it. How can tell if the turbo is blown or if the head gasket is blown, if its either of those. Ill take pics tomorrow since its dark out right now. Any knowledge, advice, solutions, help are greatly appreciated.....

car was never driven with turbo?? I would reccomend getting a coolant pressure tester. see if your exhaust is pressurizing your coolant ( warped head/ blown headgasket)

I would remove and check your spark plugs and also check the condition of your engine oil, make sure the oil/water lines to the turbo are correctly connected to the right fittings and go from there.

Yea, that's what tomorrows plan is...a really good flush and oil change...a simple mistake that hopefully didn't cause too much damage. Another lesson learned...but on a good note, so far I have no other leaks

luckily it was caught now and not later. just like u said clean everything out good and you should be good. just make sure you put some seaelnt tape on all connections to make sure nothing leaks.

Yea, I took off my oilpan, wiped it clean, took off all hoses and pushed water thru. I've flushed my radiator twice and gonna do it again tomorrow. Everything is fine now. Although there is something else of an issue...my turbo makes a weird "rattling" noise, like there's a loose bolt when I'm coasting in gear. I checked for shaft play and there is none, so could it be the bearings?
