custom turbo what else do i need?

Ok I have an 03 lancer oz rally and I'm doing a custom setup using parts from a 91 gsx turbo. anyway i have the piping figured out similar to RRM and the system seams to fit up ok. now the problem i foresee happening is a fuel issue. i want to run 7 psi all day long, but i dont want any issues with the car cutting our or timing being retarded also. i will be picking up an Apexi S-AFC at work in a few days so that will be taken care of. I guess my question would be what other parts exactly will i need?

1. injectors which ones and what size
2. FPR which one what size
3. Fuel pump will it even be nessicary? if so which one?

Hope the questions dont seem too stupid but i tryed to make sense of the search i performed but not much useful popped up. anyway i just want everything to run properly once it is hooked up. thanks for all the help

i figure ill use the S-afc, RC 450 injectors and a rising rate FPR. if this sounds on track then let me know. also what FP should i run, and should i upgrade the pump?

You should have an FMU(fuel management uint) 10:1 ratio and 2nd gen eclipse fump. That will help alot. Thats what i'm running, expect the feul pump, i've got in-line booster pump. Also I've got the same turbo as you the 14b. S-afc, turbo timer, Fmic, custom mani, and piping.

I'd source maybe some 4G93t Injectors, and a fuel pump from a GSR Lancer, if they are available in the US, you should really have any other hassles, apart from remapping your ECU as well as tuning the Apexi AFC

RRM does have an intake manifold now...limited edition so you'll pay a pretty penny for it, but theylook hella nice if you're goin for a polished engine bay look...http://www.roadracemotorsports.com ...its on their website now. Take a look.

the only pump that will work is the 2nd gen eclipse..also your going to run extreamly rich with 450 cc injectors and only 7 psi. but i guess more fuel can't hurt....thats what the afc is for.

Intake manifold: unecessary. You're looking to get the car running before all else.

RC Engineering's making injectors for us now? They seemed pretty adament when Jeff from ILP and I approached them about it 6 mos ago. Anyway, you'll want to make sure they're high impedence and of course that they fit.

I dunno the flow rates for the 1g and 2g dsm FP's, but I know you can get a Walbro 255lph for between $100-120 if you're interested in that route. It's slightly longer than stock, but you can see the ease of install from Rhyzin's How To.

Good luck. What are you using for an exhaust manifold? I'm assuming you're using an internal wastegate too because you said you're taking the turbo from a 1g.

When you get the FMU buy the kit that comes with the 4:1, 6:1, 8:1, 10:1 and 12:1 discs as well. You may need to tool with fuel pressure a bit to get it right. Not only that, but as you add mods and up the boost you're probably gonna need that adjustability.

EDIT: It's called the recalibration kit. For some reason that just slipped my mind when I was posting.

ok if RC doesnt make injectors for our car what would you recommend or do you think i would be safe with just the FMU and an S-afc? sorry for all the questions but i thought i would ask the people who have done this before me that way I learn from their mistakes and acheivements so that I can get mine running quicker. As for a manifold I made a homemade version of RRM's using steel tubing and a MIG welder that we have at the shop. I just bought the proper bends then welded them together. When they cooled i ground the beads down and smoothed out the pipe and wrapped them in header wrap. I'll try to put up pics when I have it all done. Oh and its kinda off topic but I also just put on the evo 7 front end today. It fit alright but I need to adjust my latch it was a little off. thanks for all the help.
