RRM's 16g turbo kit!

wow, people really get angry on herre dont they? but anyway, question for rock and any other people that actually know the answer to my question...so i did a lot of seaching on turbo kits, especially the rrm one. it seems to be a really old one, and stage 1, and finally stage 2(increased psi)...so doe that make the lancer turbo kit currently on rrms site the stage 2 kit? and after that, what should the stock psi on this system grant me as far as whp???? thanx in advance

your psi u run is determined by the wastegate settings.. if u really want to run something like an rrm stage 2 kit, give them a call. they might even still have that 19g turbo kit for sale that was off there shop race lancer..

"and after that, what should the stock psi on this system grant me as far as whp????" question really doesnt make sense, u might need to be doing more reseach on 'how a turbo works' and 'what do wastegates do'...
u could run anything from 1psi to 12psi (depending on what the wastegate is set at, or boost controller)on the stock motor with minimal internal modifications as long as the car is tuned by a professional. hp and trq output would varry depending on turbo and psi..

^ What he said :P. What usually blow's up boosted vehicles is a bad tune and the engine goes "lean" which causes a lot more heat. This is bad, causes the motor to blow. And as far as how much HP can you get that idk hp does not break stuff usually it is the TQ that breaks components. I was told this but idk how true it is but that stock bottom end on the 4g94 can hold up to 250 tq before it lets go.

if anything it has a 7psi wastegate spring and should get you around 200 to the wheels depending on your tune. 7psi is a good safe limit. now granted there are lancers out there running more. im at 11psi with a greddy profec b spec 2, but that is because my tune allows me to. not saying its good to boost that with our cars but it is possible.

somewhat. i used the turbo, o2, wastegate, and the mani. all the rest i got from used evo parts.

so in way yes, but i did change a lot of it from reading here on the forums. thats what i was gonna do, but cost wise it was better piecing it together.
