Question Subaru Sti Exhaust Swap to Lancer

My friend with a Subaru STI is selling his Exhaust system he purchased from turboxs and was going to sell it at a discounted price.
I was wondering if it was possible to install this on my 04 Lancer Es with ease , or will it require modification?

It is my first install of a new exhaust system, also my lancer is does not currently have turbo .

Model: WRX/STI Turbo back exahust system (Ti muffler) (WS-TBE-TI)
http://www.turboxs.com/shop_prod1.php?what_category=8

Thanks.

it will require modification. iyou could use the muffler section and have a muffler shop weld it up for you.. but youd be better off just selling it unmodified.

why dont you just buy a exhaust system for your car that bolts on? Or were you wanting to try something different?

It was spur of the moment and I saw the exhaust system in person kind of felt attached.

I was looking at some exhaust systems from magnaflow that seemed relatively expensive around 400$ - 500$ mark.

dude I got mine custom done for 240, all he did was take a steel pipe, diameter of your choice, and he cuts off the old system and welds on the pipe with a few bends here and there to go through your car. Then he took the muffler of my choice and he welded it on the end and wallah you have a custom straight pipe exhuast that will give you a nice sound plus its clean without all the flanges all over the place.

note- they will either cut off the cat for you or you can keep it on basically that will be your starting point. I got mine cut off because I wanted it loud

you have 2 cats on the lancer models I passed inspection when I got mine cut off, your second cat is in the stock headers

I will be doing a custom on it. If I decide to go turbo then I'm going to do galvanized 3in piping straight from cat back with a muffler of my choice, probably with a resonator.. otherwise 2.25in.

I wasn't aware that their was a cat in the stock headers. So if you were to yank your stock headers and put some aftermarket headers then you wouldn't of passed the inspection?

depends on the area....and depends on the quality of the car. In texas you can pass with just 1, in cali you probably can't pass with a "non-oem" looking car.
