05 sti **pics**

well after months of debating weather to buy an evo 9 or an 05 sti i bought the sti for many reasons most of all because of the large price difference, and a few other things. that same day my friend bought a evo 9. so with the money i saved i invested in some mods.

deadbolt sz55 fatboy turbo
turboxs fmic
pe850 injectors
samco turbo inlet and collant pipes
crucial racing thermostat
helix bellmouth downpipe (catless)
hks carbon ti exhaust
smc injection
ecutek on top of utec
custom uppipe
defi gauges
aps short ram intake
copper gaskets

i will be getting on the dyno shortly. should easily get 400whp on pump and close to 500 on 110

enjoy

omfgwhata****ingincomprehensiblesentence.

They last about as long as any other car with proper maintenance. There are plenty of 3g and 4g (especially 4g) Mirages on the roads, plenty of late 80's and early 90's galants. The "truth" is, you don't seem to have any basis for your poorly worded argument.

Kimma,

That is a decent list of mods, i had almost the same exact set up om my STi. Make sure you go external wastegate on that turbo. i had a SZ49 with the fat boy wheel and even with the 38mm internal gate we could not get the boost to go under 22 pounds. you will make great power with that set up.

Yeah, I don't really see 500 whp with those mods either, but please put her on a Mustang dyno and prove me wrong. Then come down to the track and run me for some green.

That turbo is very capable of 500WHP on a race gas tune.

Correct me if Im wrong but hte galant is the longest running Mitsu to date..off topic I know but never talk down to the car that has carried the emblem the longest!

Galants on the 9th generation after 16 years..where as the evo is on the 9th in 12 or 13 years...

There are a lot of old Subarus on the roads here too. Early 90's and the occasional GL and Justy. I would argue that these cars last as long as you make them last/want them to last. Catastrophic failures are hard to come by in a maintained car, no matter the make or model.

yeah thats exactly my point, there are just as many old subys as old mitsus here in southern cali, a car is only as good as its owner, i just hate it when i read ignorant comments like that
