My only experience (until very recently) with FI/tuning/maintenance is with older british cars (MGB's mostly).

I bought a Lancer as a daily driver last year and have been looking for a relatively reliable performance enhancer, preferrably in the FI realm.

My question is ... do you think a kit like this is better left to those with more experince with tuning? Or would it be feesible for someone with little experience with the car to really enjoy a severe upgrade like this without tearing his hair out?

anyways...i like the view of an FMIC...and my bro and i are gonna turbocharge my car this summer for hella cheap... much cheaper than RRM or RIPPMODS SDS...so BOO YA! lol

 

cool brotha'...... keep us updated. people need to realize that "the more options available, the better". seriously what are (rrm) turbo people scared of? that the rippmods sds is going to be more reliable/horespower than the rrm kit? thats the notion they are showing when they start flame wars.

I think (RRM) Turbo Guys are jealous not scared since they spent tons of money over the turbo price just to get to 230whp level, while Ripp Mod's SDS kit comes with everything and runs on stock internals boosting safely to produce 230+whp, certainly a complete kit and need nothing else. Anyway the more RRM blows up motors, the more Ripp Mods SDS kit sells...so RRM avid fans, give it a break, give other people a chance to develop new ways (not to blow motors up) for our cars...stop bashing people's threads when we get this system, we'll race you anywhere anytime.
