GREDDY E-MANAGE questions

i've heard alot of "its garbage!" and "just get an ecuflash!" but i dont really have alot of options so i have to stick with my emanage blue with the fuel and ignition option.

does anyone have any ideas if its ok to use it on an ecu that had a reflash already? i had a tune but i need another for a higher boost setup, the tune was only for 6psi. how much boost can i run with emanage on a built motor?

thanks in advance for the tips and inputs!!

you can run as much boost as you want with emanage as long as you have sufficient fuel and air to compensate for it...

as far as using it on a flashed ECU, im not sure, but i dont see why you cant...

I had it in my turbo'd lancer, its good, mine was just fine man, at 5 PSI it was only at 61% injector duty cycle stock injectors. Turbo blew tho..so im in the market for another...back to N/A for me...makes me sad..

i have 440cc injectors right now, im trying to run 9psi on a stock motor and maybe 12-14psi on a built one. i just wanted to make sure that the emanage can control everything for a higher boost setup.

The fact remains that flashing your ECU will always override any settings a piggyback is attempting to control. So if your using the eManage on a flashed ECU, the eManage's settings will go on top of the ECUs settings, not in place of. This is why people go the route of flashing their ECUs. You are going right to the source of EFI, telling it what to do and it does it.

I have the e-manage now, im using it, but i want to become really good at tuning, im getting the ECUflash, buying evoscan to log, and im going to start tuning that way. A big downfall about the EMB is it cant log knock or fuel trim or anything like that.

i cant find another tuner to flash it, the last one gave me an attitude so the bridge was burned. and plus he didnt know how to use an ebc so he tuned me on stock boost with the ebc off.

do you think an emanage would be an efficient enough way of managing my fuel safely on higher boost setups? atleast 12-14lbs on a built motor?

Comparing the eManage, or any piggyback for that matter, to EcuFlash for the purpose of tuning is pointless. The eManage costs more, has less features and doesn't give you a true tune. EcuFlash is free and is superior in every way. Not to mention you can use an Evo ROM on your Lancer ECU (manual trans only) and have a tuning solution that rivals an AEM EMS in flexibility.

Could it be used to tune your setup? Probably. But why would you want to when you have a much better alternative?

i dont have a tuner here in vegas other than the one who tuned me the first time, and as ive said, the business went sour.
i was trying to get the aem ems from a guy here at evom but he never replied to any of my PMs. i basically have no choice for tuning options right now.
