E-manage Ultimate on windows 8

I start this post for a problem I had with the E-manage Ultimate driver on newer windows. I could use the software only on windows XP and that was a big problem science the newest machine came with win 7 win 8 etc. To install and use the E-manage software for example in windows 8(only 32 bit windows) you must install the software by click next next next and after that the program only start but can t conect to E-manage ecu. Next step is to open device manager and look for E-manage and the drivers show as missing! Click on the usb driver >update driver> browse for driver> click on the cd rom e-manage software cd for install manualy the usb driver. From windows 7 the istalation of a program requires a usb signature to automaticaly install all the features and the old programs don t have. I tried to solve that for about 3 years. I have tune my car recently with the E-manage software on windows 8 pc 32 bit. Sorry for my english and hope this will be helpfull!

My car was a 4g63 converted in 4g63turbo! Greddy E-manage Ultimate engine management is a piggy back ecu made for japanese cars turbo or non turbo like Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi etc.

I know what E-manage is, most users here have USDM Ralliarts that are equipped with 4G69 engines, so it is not compatible with most ralliarts.

It s not plug and play for all the engines and japanes cars but if you match corect the wires you can install it on every japanese car! On my car is installed wire by wire because they don t have a plug and play wire for this model. Wire by wire with an resistance instrument I conected the airflow injectors water knock sensor crankshaft sensor etc. In extreme condition you must adapt.

why not just flash the stock ECU? it's a 4g63...there's probably a half dozen ways to do it...

For many reasons u can t reflash a stock ecu from a naturally engine converted to turbo. There is a lot of "things" missing on a naturally engine ecu for that!

Are you sure? the 4G94 lancer guys flash stock 4G63T Evo roms onto their ECU's...

It s not really like that. You have a wrong information. A stock ecu from a non turbo car doesn t have a MAP sensor for example (it don t "see" the boost) and there s a lot of other things why can t flash a non turbo car ecu after a turbo conversion! A EVO ecu can be adapt and tune on a Lancer turbo converted.

Of course you need a MAP sensor, that is more than 1 BAR...you're talking to me like I don't know what a MAP sensor is...I fabricated a turbo kit from scratch, and tune the ECU myself.

What I'm telling you is, here in north America, the base lancers have 2.0L SOHC 4G94 engines, and whatever ECU is used, they quite literally just flash Evo ROMs on it...if the non-turbo 4g63 ECU can not be flashed with a 4g63 turbo ROM for whatever reason, that's fine, all I was asking was if you tried...

I didn t say you don t know what a Map sensor is! The map sensor and other things was the reason I prefer e- manage for 6 years in turbo conversion or haltech as another option! I don t know if my ecu can be reflash with evo roms, I didn t try! If I find the program for my ecu I ll try to reflash it for test and let you know! Sorry for bad understanding!

Sorry, I guess I took it the wrong way when you explained what a MAP sensor does. It's worth a try...The software most people are using is ECUFlash, and you would need a tactrix openport cable as well...
