Top Speed??
This might sound stupid.. I donno.. haddent really thought it through..
But since people have been swappin the 4g64/63 motors.. and using out bellhosing and there trans.. couldnt we do that on our 4g94 also?
ihavent sat down and actually looked at all the gearing differences between eclipse/galants and whatever else that has a trans that might work.. auto or manual both should be geared a little longer.
swap trans, but stick to our bellhosing, and swap axles... couple transmissions out there that would bolt right up (if im not mistaken) all have much longer gearsets then ours.. would definately increase our top speed with a longer gears

The gearing between the 3 cars is not all that different. Here are the gear ratios for the three different F5M42 transmissions:

hrmmm.. according to top speed calculator.. that means the lancer trans has the highest possible mph assuming the same tire choice on each trans... hrmmmm

my dad has a viper(well 2 actually).. and he had his buddies rims off his older mustang that fit on my car.
think i had.. 245/55/17 tires on the car(maybe it was 255/65, i dont remember).. could barely turn the car at all.. straight line only.. decided that my dad pacing me up to top of 4th (automatic) would tell me how fast the car can go.. he said i was doing 145 when i let off.. cop said he clocked us both doing 140.. but cop did also say his radar was only calobrated for 90mph or soemthing like that and he was sure we were going faster then what it read.
He didnt even attempt to pull us over, just tried to catch up, and catch us once we slowed down.. no tickets were given.. but he did want to check out the old setup cuz he thought it was cool that my car was actually going that fast, since it was just a 'lancer' , and he has actually stopped by the house a few times to check out my new setup. he knew my dad 'to an extent' (he had pulled my dad over twice before and talked to him about cars a few times)
