whats the fastest you guys have gone in your turbo lancers??!

 

I was somewhat curious about this myself. N/A I have gotten to about 118, and then I just flat out can't get anymore speed like the 100hp just can't fight the wind any harder....I would never go that fast these days though...don't trust my shocks, brakes, tires, or anything else as much as i did when i was fearless and young.

really?? i have done 125mph with only an intake.... i was thinking with twice the hp to the wheels the top speed should be pretty good! i wonder what JRR was doing at 15psi

I've topped out at 138mph in 5th gear (redline).

 

i think i was at 130 before i let off, and senates does sound correct.

i never did hit spped nor rev limiter, but i was coming up on traffic and i figured it was the smarter thing to do...

 

130 and still pulling pretty good but I am a chicken and was sure one of the 20 people I passed called the 5-0 so I slowed down lol

 

OH! My bad lol... I guess my evo is still a lancer though

paced my dad up to 145.. but i had massive wheel/tires on.. speedo said i was only doing 125 and at redline. cop radar said he got us passing him at 140 and my dads speedo on the viper said we were doing 145.. gearing on our cars suck and were limited to about 130.

 

so what we change the gearing on our car we can increase the speed?

im just wondering if evos are even going the top speed on thier speedometers

 

transmissions gearing is really short in our car. getting a new gearset is very expensive.. lol, think its like.. 1200$ for hondas.. and im sure it would be worse for us since it would all be custom.


This might sound stupid.. I donno.. haddent really thought it through..
But since people have been swappin the 4g64/63 motors.. and using out bellhosing and there trans.. couldnt we do that on our 4g94 also?

ihavent sat down and actually looked at all the gearing differences between eclipse/galants and whatever else that has a trans that might work.. auto or manual both should be geared a little longer.

swap trans, but stick to our bellhosing, and swap axles... couple transmissions out there that would bolt right up (if im not mistaken) all have much longer gearsets then ours.. would definately increase our top speed with a longer gears
